Helping people follow Jesus, learn the Bible, and build family.
Promise Church began in 2021 as a partner with Pantry Promise in Campton Hills where the pantry provides unsold perishables and other food items to the needy in the Elgin and northern Kane county area. In 2021 from March to September, we used the small farm where the pantry is located as the setting for our outdoor Promise Gathering, a larger event including food, games, musical worship, and a sermon.
During the winter, the Promise Gathering met at a rented facility at in Elgin. In April 2022, we moved to the Baker Community Center in St Charles.
On November 13, 2022 Promise started weekly services at the Haines Gymnasium in Saint Charles. Since then, we ve added weekly youth programs for 10–18-year-olds, a concurrent parent program and additional group programs like Alpha, mens and womens Bible LifeGroups and short term discipleship/growth classes.
In April 2024 we moved to a rented facility at 3809 Illinois Avenue, Suite 300 in Saint Charles. With full week access to our own building, we are planning to add mid-week programs for younger children, additional adult growth programs and further outreach to the Saint Charles community. The population is growing, many new homes going up in western DuPage and eastern Kane counties. These areas are in need of a vigorous Christian presence that can impact the variety of needs in the mixed demographics across the neighborhoods.
